FAQ

FAQ

🔋 Q: Will the Gryd tracker work like a real battery?

A: Not for powering tools. Our trackers are housed in authentic-style 18V battery shells (DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee), but they’re not functional batteries — they’re covert tracking devices.

📱 Q: Do I need an app to use it?

A: Yes. Gryd uses an easy-to-use mobile app for iOS and Android. You can track devices, set up geo-fences, get alerts, and share live location info with the police — all from your phone.

⏱ Q: How long does the battery last?

A: Our trackers have an internal rechargeable battery designed for long life. Depending on the mode, they can last 25–90 days on a single charge, with low-battery notifications via the app. Charging is easy via a wireless charging pad (Supplied)

📡 Q: How accurate is the GPS tracking?

A: Gryd trackers use real-time GPS and cellular networks for location accuracy down to a few meters in most environments.

💰 Q: Is there a subscription fee?

A: The first year subscription is included when you purchase a Gryd tracker. Final pricing is being confirmed, but we aim to keep Gryd affordable for the subsequent years — especially compared to the cost of lost tools and missed work.

🛠️ Q: What happens if my tools are stolen?

A: Open the app, and you’ll see the live location of your tracker. You can share coordinates directly with law enforcement to increase the chance of recovery. Contact us if you believe your tools have been stolen. We can also monitor your device.

🛡️ Q: Is my data secure?

A: Yes. All GPS data is encrypted and stored securely. Only you have access to your trackers through the app. We never share your location data with third parties.
